How to Repair Bifold Door Top Roller Guide

If your bifold doors are sticking then it's likely that they need some maintenance. You may need to clean and lubricate them or adjust them. The problem could be caused by a loose bolt on the top pivot, or by the top guide roller.

Remove the bi-fold door repair

This issue can be solved by getting rid of the bottom pivot adjustment screws and loosening the top track mounting screws and moving anchor/pivot.

A new set of top roller guides is an inexpensive solution to a problem that can make bifold doors difficult to operate. They are typically available at your local hardware store in the door section. However they can be ordered online from various vendors. In addition to a brand-new top guide for rollers, you'll need a small container of Elmer's wood glue which is sold in the big box stores and a squeeze clamp.
