WoW Item Upgrades

Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are items and enchantments that can be applied to weapons and armor pieces to boost their power. These upgrade components add a certain number of points to a level gauge for the item, with their cost scaling with their rarity.

A perfectly formed version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community due to its ability to reduce the damage caused by weapons.

Type-restricted upgrades

The process of upgrading is an essential part of the crafting process. They can boost the stats of an item, make it stronger or less durable, and even give it an added benefit. They can also alter the appearance of the item. Certain upgrades are universal, while others have specific rules for weapons and armor. A bad upgrade can destroy a weapon that was otherwise excellent, and could even render it useless.

As a rule it is possible to upgrade an item of equipment to the level of its most advanced counterpart. You are able to upgrade helms only to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded to the equivalent of a sword. However, this won't increase the weapon's damage output and could decrease its value in trade.

You can upgrade an item by using crests or flightstones. The amount of each depends on the item level and slot. Upgrades to swords, for instance will require more flightstones than upgrading a cloak. You may also get discounts on the amount of flightstones or crests needed to upgrade an item.

The diamond-shaped indicator on the item is filled when it is upgraded. Each step increases the Tier level by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. Based on the item it could take a different number of upgrades to reach this level. It is important to note that any procedures that might be used to mount a disk shouldn't be running during an upgrade. It is also important to ensure that the disk you're upgrading is not being used as an system drive.

Enchantment lets you change white or Common items to rare or blue items. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop located in the Capital District is where you can do this. This process does NOT add rune or gem slots to the equipment. However it can alter its dimensions. It increases the equipment's size by the size two categories smaller. For example the size of the size of a Stormtrooper armor is Medium and a Blaster Pistol Small.

Universal upgrades

Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be used on any kind of equipment. This includes armor and weapons. Upgrade components can be obtained from Side Quests or random drops. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent, and can overlap with Power Ups. They can be linear or branching.

Universal Upgrades begin when "internal technology" can provide sentient beings new capabilities that are extremely unlikely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology are prostheses or implants. This type of technology is not the same as medical internal technology, which seeks to restore the natural capabilities. Instead, it is the beginning of an upgrade process that alters civilizations in a fundamentally different way. The universal upgrade can be an extended and complicated process. However the process can be divided into two types: full success and partial failure.

It's similar to the way resort upgrades work at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually due to operational reasons such as room availability or overbooking. In the case of Universal this could mean to transfer guests from one resort to another one that is open. This is not intended to be rude but it could be necessary in the current environment.

In contrast to Runes, Sigils and Jewels, which are only applicable to specific types of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or) universal upgrades can be applied to any equipment. Additionally, they can be applied to multiple items at the same time. They are therefore more adaptable than other types of upgrade. This can be a problem when upgrading items on a particular gear path. It can raise the item levels of all pieces on the route.

Before performing an upgrade, it's important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. After that, you can install the new files using the Get-ChildItem-Recurse or Unblock-File command. To ensure that your PSU server is working correctly it is also recommended to perform a basic verification.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to enhance armor, weapons or other items. They give varying stat bonuses and secondary effects based on the gemstone and reagent used to make them. They are found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions as well as V Blood Carriers and other regular enemies. They can also be bought from a Master Craftsman in exchange for gold or karma. Jewels can be created using a jewelry table by using 5 of the same type of reagent and one gem to create an item with either a higher or lower level. This process is similar to upgrading a stone an instrument for gem crafting.

Jewel Tiers are determined by the number of modifiers that they have. Jewels with higher tiers have more than lower-tier jewels. The primary effect of a gem is determined by the tier it is, while the secondary effect is randomized players can use luck potions to increase the chances of obtaining better secondary effects.

Like other upgrade components, jewels can be inserted into an item that has an appropriate socket to boost the item's. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost the strength of an item, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's ability to strike with force. Jewels can be placed in every level of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, and some trinkets of rarer or exotic nature that require a slot that is not used.

Gems are a DM-specific mechanic that can help make items feel special to their owners. Through offering a variety of upgrade options, jewels allow players to modify their equipment and choose the best combination for them. They can also upgrade their existing gear with new jewels if the initial set of a certain model is no longer suitable.

Requirements

The item upgrades in WoW allows players to raise the level of their equipment, weapons, and trinkets from their current level using specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor resources. These upgrades increase item upgrader kit stats and some even have special effects. (For instance Dolphin's grace gives swimmers dolphin-like grace). These upgrades can be obtained through any upgrader NPC or by rescuing them from items containing them, with various types of items dropping various upgrade components.

The process of upgrading can be a bit difficult however, it's a simple process. The player selects the item he wants to upgrade, and then clicks on the Upgrade button. A window will pop up showing the various upgrades that are available for that item. The window will show the upgrade level, the upgrade type bonus (such a Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The upgrade level will be displayed in the form of a bar that is located at the top of the screen and the upgrade type bonus is displayed below it.

If the player decides to upgrade their item the item will be delivered to the NPC who is upgrading, who will explain how to upgrade the item level upgrade. The player then has to provide the correct currency needed for the upgrade and may be required to supply additional materials should they require it. These requirements are based on the item level upgrade's item upgrading level and the weapon's requirements are typically higher requirements than armor.

In addition to the mandatory upgrade item components, a lot of upgrade recipes have an 'Acceptable Materials' list. This list outlines what other upgrade components can be used on the item, and includes a flag indicating whether that item can be guaranteed to boost or additional effect. It is important to be aware because the value of an upgraded item can differ significantly based on the 'extras' it comes with, with properly rolled gear being much more valuable than the non-upgraded versions.

The list of upgrades that require valorstones or crests will be listed separately below the main list. The crests and valorstones required depend on the item level that is required, with weapon upgrades requiring the most Valorstones.
