Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable, acing our tests for cleaning and taking on different types of floors. Look for models that allow you to choose between several modes, utilize their charging dock to self-empty and clean stairs.

Many of the best models are compatible with your smartphone. Check for an app that lets you save maps, create schedules and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behavior.

When I tried the S1, it was able to map our downstairs, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However it had some issues navigating down the stairs in one go. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rugs.

The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before needing to be empty, but this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. In order to do this, you'll have to wash the dirty water tank regularly to prevent it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with a number of unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.

The robot comes with a simple interface that guides you throughout the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically filled or empty. It comes with a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes most debris and even the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it can be stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping is quite excellent, too, with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation when required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the top mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an effective, customized cleaning is accomplished.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease while avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically extends to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.

Its navigation is smart, navigating narrow spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can easily move from one room to another without changing direction which is a great feature for larger homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than its competitors, however, and tends to leave a large space around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.

The app's interface is intuitive and easy to use. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop settings and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It is accessible via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for live video surveillance. You'll require a reliable internet connection to access the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

Its mops are also impressive with their 2700Pa power to tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have problems with carpets with high piles or area rugs, but it couldn't pick up cables or kitty litter and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that allows it to reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums can't. This device also has a larger bin, so you don't have to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters, which reduces the costs associated with using the device. The robot is able to detect carpets and increase suction if needed. The app also lets you to mark off areas you want to avoid this is a useful feature.
